1. I used a really small flathead. I think they make a special tri-wing screwdriver, but I couldn't find one. 2. You use the hot tip of the gun to melt a bit of solder fastening the wires to the holes in the board. 3. See #2 If you haven't soldered before, try googling a "soldering how-to" to get you started. Once you feel comfortable with the basics of that, then you'd be ready to move on to a project like this. Hope this helps! If you have any more questions, let me know.
